About Us
Hi, We are Larry and Becky Nelson. We have lived in Canmer, Kentucky, which is about 35 miles east of Mammoth Cave National Parks, since October of 2003. At present we live in an old tobacco barn where we built an apartment until we can build a house.
We got interested in Long-Haired Chihuahuas and Siberian Huskies after watching several dog shows. However, it wasn't until we researched the breeds extensively that we started looking for Chihuahua and Huskie puppies to start our kennels.
All of our adults have been raised up as puppies that we have purchased from other breeders or have kept as babies from our own litters. Our Chihuahuas have heated and cooled pens in one side of the barn, and their play area is covered and screened to protect them from the weather and from attacks from other animals. Our Huskies have their own large dog houses and enclosures, and an even larger play area were they can get together during the day.
All of our litters of babies have been handled and played with since very young to get them used to being around people. Visitors are welcome to stop by during daylight hours to meet our puppies as there is usually someone around. It would be be best to call or e-mail for an appointment however, as there are times when we are not available.
